Description of Acne (pimples) A common skin condition characterised by whiteheads,

blackheads, and inflamed red pimples or “zits.” It occurs most commonly on the face and back.

Acne often becomes worse during puberty when there is an increase in the

secretion of the hormones called androgens.

Acne can also occur during menopause, pregnant or

due to changes in lifestyle and life chances such as stress or fatigue.
